Hello to our friends near and far! My name is Bernadette, and I am the General Manager for Why Not Travel Store, in Why, Arizona. Our store is a small family-owned business that has been around since 1991.
Although we are a small gas station, one of the many things we’re known for is taking part in community efforts and helping with charity work around our area. Over the years we’ve created lifelong friendships with customers and created amazing relationships with local businesses within the community of Why, Ajo, and surrounding areas.
What some people do not know is we not only offer fuel, but our store offers many more services.
Vehicle storage.
We offer vehicle storage. Now this service comes in handy when you do not want to caravan for a trip. Here, your family or friends can meet at our location and drive down in a single vehicle, if they wish. Our vehicle storage is in a secured lot behind our store. We charge $7 per day.
The next wonderful service we offer is gun storage. We all, or most, know that bringing guns into Mexico is illegal and if you are caught trying to cross the border with even a single bullet will result in jail time.
Gun Storage
There are signs along the highway as you get closer to the border reminding people guns/weapons are not allowed in Mexico. Sometimes people forget, it happens, we’re human. Once again, this is where we come in. Our store offers gun storage. For $4 per day, you can leave your weapon in our care, and we’ll hold it for you until you return. As mentioned, we offer more services than just fuel!
Keeping You Informed
I constantly share this information with travelers on our Facebook page. If you are a long-time follower of our page, you’ll know how many times I put this information out there. For those new to our Facebook page, you’ll see I share information on events for local and surrounding areas, traffic, weather, and other shenanigans or anything else that may pop up at that time. We currently have +15k followers and growing!
